Welcome
Cedar College of Education is a Christian teachers training college located on a Mission Station, Kwasizabantu near Durban. The college is affiliated with the North West University which is one of the largest Universities in South Africa. Students not only gain academically but also find their focus on community activities and support. It is a four year degree course with practical orientated experience.

Message from the Director
The need for Christian teachers increases year by year. As secular humanist philosophy captures school systems, it is crucial that Bible-believing educators seek to spread the Light of the Gospel through their profession. Cedar College of Education is there to equip them for this ministry. Our prayer is that each CCE graduate would be an effective instrument in God's hands.
Director of Cedar College of Education (Mr. K. Olsen)

Graduation 2009
The 12th Graduation Ceremony of CCE was held on 8 April 2009. A total of 12 candidates completed their studies. We are privileged to have students from all over the world and this is again revealed in the composition of this year’s multicultural graduandi.

We are thankful for the Lord’s providence so far and we entrust the future of the college to Him as well. We pray that through His grace we will remain true to our motto - "SANCTUS DEO" - Holy unto the Lord. more...

First Years 2009
This year the Lord blessed Cedar College of Education with a total of thirteen new first year students coming from South Africa, Rwanda, France and Korea. The second, third and fourth year students along with the CCE staff welcomed the new group on the 14 February. It was a blessed time where each year group had the chance to welcome the new students. The new students were also introduced to the customary CCE song “Welcome to the Family”.

The CCE family had the opportunity to learn more about the new first years. Each new student had the chance to tell us about themselves, and shared some of their dreams and goals of becoming missionary teachers working for the Lord. It was a real blessing and inspiration, not only to the students, but to the whole CCE family.

Eight 4th years on their way!
With heavy hearts that we said our goodbyes to the 2008 fourth years.  Some will leave to their home countries; Romania, America, Botswana, Lesotho and within SA. What a unique group with different cultures and backgrounds but united in Christ.

It is our hope, prayer and plea that you will be fruitful wherever the Lord places you. Let your torch shine clear!

Fourth year farewell 2008
The day was unforgettable, with skits, songs, speeches and the customary exchanging of gifts between the college and the 4th years.

The fourth years each received the Servant's Towel, a tradition instituted by the late Rector of the College, Mrs Kay Stegen.

Report back of the 4th Year Outreach
To Botswana with the Gospel
This year the 4th year outreach took us to Botswana. We were the guests of a British missionary friend, John Walters. The team consisted of  7 fourth year students along with the lecturers from the college and missionaries from
KwaSizabantu Mission.

We are safely back home after a blessed experience in Botswana and have experienced God's provision, protection and presence throughout the outreach. We went to encourage John and his congregation, and we came back greatly encouraged and inspired to serve God with even more joy, dedication and thankfulness for the abundance we have!

4th Year Outreach
To Botswana with the Gospel
At CCE staff and students alike are called to serve. And as future teachers
, students need to gain more exposure and experience of a world in need.

This year the fourth year students have planned a trip to Botswana. They are a unique international group of eight ladies representing the following countries: Romania, Botswana, Lesotho, America and South Africa, (English, Indian and Afrikaans).

Our aim is to reach out to the youth in the Rakops area of northern Botswana and to give them a message of hope, amidst the turmoil of modern day society. We intend to visit under privileged schools, to encourage and support them.

CCE is Growing
As the Lord Gives Growth

With the increasing number of student enrollment, we realized that the College would need to expand its premises.

The opportunity came during 2007 when an agreement was made between CCE and Domino Servite School (DSS) to exchange some facilities. The plan is that DSS will occupy the existing CCE building which will consolidate the school into one unit. CCE would then move into the DSS Junior school buildings (Foundation and Intermediate phases)...
